I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK ALL OF OUR LISTENERS WHO HAVE EXPRESSED YOUR THOUGHTS,PRAYERS AND DONATIONS FOR THE WPSL CHRISTMAS KIDS IN MEMORY OF ED BURCHFIELD. ED WAS A LEGEND IN TREASURE COAST MEDIA. I HAVE OFTEN SAID TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN THAT WPSL/WSTU AND LA GIGANTE HAS THE TRUE ALL STAR STAFF. OUR GOAL IS TO CARRY ON THE TRADITION WHICH ED HELPED ESTABLISH AT THE TALK OF THE TREASURE COAST. IN OCTOBER WPSL WILL BE 25 YEARS OLD, ED IS TRULY THE ONE WHO HAS PUT WPSL ON THE MAP. WE HAVE AN ALL STAR CAST OF CHARACTERS WHICH WILL CARRY US ON FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS, ALL OF WHICH ARE EITHER FRIENDS OF THE MORNING SHOW OR WPSL CHRISTMAS KIDS:

Charlie: Thank you for sharing Holy Scripture with us in the wake of Ed's passing. Like many Christians, I have had to struggle with these two books, but the verses that you selected were most appropriate and, in the case of Daniel 2:44, one which our assistant pastor [Grace Presbyterian on Britt Road] recently alluded to. May Our Lord continue to richly bless you in your labors and in your family.

What a wonderful outpouring on the part of Ed's many listeners. Thank you so much. It's nice that some of his many friends will be joining us on "Breakfast with Burchfield". To be sure - there is a wonderful hope for a grand future for all of us (Daniel 2:44 & Revelation 21:3,4)

We will miss Ed dearly, My walks in the morning will just not be the same, We had the Honor of having the Stateroom next to Ed last year on the Cruise, it will be a little less fun this year, but we are looking forward to it. LInda & Rich

The following was sent to the station from one of Ed's favorite morning show sponsors, JAVA CHARLIES.....

We at Java Charlie's will deeply miss Ed Burchfield.
It is said, that it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but an entire life to forget them.

Ed certainly was a special person. God placed him in each of our lives for a reason and thought that reason is different for each of us, the fact remains that Ed was able to fill that spot in our lives with a smile on his face and love in his heart. He gave us laughter, joy and, yes, that occasional grimace from some of his punch lines but he made us smile and he lighted our days as he fought his own illness.

We will miss his spontaneous visits to certify the freshness of our coffee, tell a joke or just say hello and see how we were doing. It is a special individual like this that makes Ed truly "unforgettable".

It is with deep sorrow in our hearts that we say farewell to Ed. We are thankful to God for his life and how he touched ours and we ask God to bless and comfort his wonderful wife, family and friends during this time.
